Srinagar, May 1(KNO): BJP leader and DDC member for Khonmoh Er Aijaz Hussain wa today attacked by the Sarpanch backed goons when he visited Koker Mohalla area of Balhama, Srinagar to the check the allegations of corruption.
"I was on a visit to Balhama area to check the veracity of the allegations of corruption against the Sarpanch at Balhama area, " Er Aijaz told news agency--Kashmir News Observer (KNO) , adding that goons attacked him with lathis and iron rods in which he received minor bruises.
He said that he had a narrow escape in the attack and that his security guards saved him. Er Aijaz said that the attack was pre planned and that there is zero tolerance for corruption.Meanwhile, police acted swiftly and lodged an FIR against the attackers in police station Pantha Chowk--(KNO)
